today was a byzantium board, 2 chips from cabintech for it.. and a reminder I can't count for piss... short 4 resistors and only 2 have same value Not that bothered... I needed to get a diff 20k trimmer, the last 1 went over the resistor and was squeezing out the 47n below it><

NPD courtesy of another local diy-er, Russ_never_sleeps (think he had a presence over at MBP for awhile). It’s a modified Noise Ensemble, a PT2399 delay modulated fuzz akin to the Clari(not) fuzz. Sure I could have just bought a Chalumeau board, but I know the guy and have watched his progress with this project so when one came available I was more than happy to drop him some $$ to show some support. Haven’t had the chance to sample the sounds since doing time volunteering for kiddos marching band competition until late last night, but if the samples I have heard of the clari(not)/Chalumeau are any indication, this will be a fun one.

He remarked on how one side sounded a ton like his favorite amp like pedal, the j. Rockett animal. Turns out Brian Wampler worked on the animal, according to my friend's internet researching.

Brian Wampler teamed up with J. Rockett for a couple of Months around 2009/2010.
He released around 6 pedals that are the best sellers!
He, Brian must have realized he was better off without him!!!

The knobs look to have enough surface-purchase for a thumb&pointer-finger quick dial, that's enough for me and the knobs aren't too close to the stompers; I really like how it looks, too. Orange, I love... the only bad things are the side jacks and the lack of Toggle labelling.

Earliest Wampler I've seen. First saw it and thought it was maybe a DIYer's tribute to a Wampler.

I'm looking to pick up a roller bridge to replace a TOM. What would you recommend instead of them? I've never bought anything from them, but they are mentioned pretty often.

@Dan0h sent me a turret Fuzz Face build along with some cool Ge Trannies for a future build.

Gorva enclosure and all! It sounds way better than the FF's I've built.

This is one of the only times I will break my "DIY-or-DIE" rule......hahahaha. Thank you so much Dan! It will be played, treasured and loved!

Ah I remember now. Yah those are sorted for Q1 and Q2 for your FF builds. The 3rd bag is a grab bag of assorted lower HFE ones that you may also like. Some people like low gain in a FF. So socket and experiment! Oh and mind the pinouts. It's all over the map with those Russian transistors.

Ok, some other cool stuff in the mail today.

1.) My car lease just expired and I decided to buy out the car. It's got a ton of equity in it and car prices are absolutely ridiculous right now.
So I did that a couple weeks ago, and I've been expecting the final paperwork and title transfer etc in the mail.
Well, I didn't get all that yet but I DID get a check from the lease/finance company for $1400. Apparently I was 3 payments ahead....not sure how. But that was "almost" as nice a suprise as @Dan0h's gift pedal!

2.) Got these from Amazon at the recommendation of @Alan W....can't wait to try them on my next enclosure!



3.) These showed up from BootStrap pickups. HB90's, humbucker shaped P90's. Fixing to pop them into the guitar now and see how they stack up against the GFS Mean 90's. I'll post an NPD report at some point. I love how he uses milled corian for the covers. Really neat, never seen that before.

Got a great load from PedalPCB. Hydra delay to kill my need for my Strymon El Cap. . Pendulum harmonic tremolo to use some TL074s and a Neurocyton because it has a cool name.

Actually I got these cheaper ones, I didn't need some of the sizes of the bigger kit. I would have been find with just 2-2.5mm bit.
