What's in the mailbox? 📬 📦

... 32 potentiometers, mostly of slightly less common values, incorrectly ordered in long pin format. I haven't borked a parts order this bad in a long long time.
(Bold emph mine)

That is no mistake.
Those daddy long-legs are hard to come by and yet so useful in the weirdest of ways at the strangest of times —
Great to have some on hand when you need one, like when...
- the PCB was designed for that (ELS Barranca, for example)...
- the PCB was meant for sidejacks, and you need to scoot the PCB down to clear top jacks but maintain the stock control face...
- the PCB's components needs to be on the same side as the pots ie PCB flipped within the enclosure...
- the graphic requires odd placement of pots and you need to stretch them without offboard wiring...
- etc...

Love long pin pots. Gives me good ol’ Catalinbread feelies.

To be filed under the "buying pickups you don't need" file.....heh.

I got a super sale flyer from Zhangbucker for his Specials and picked up a set of P90's.

These are interesting to me in that he mixes both A2 and A5 magnets in both to bring a little of the best of both. That's the theory anyway.

These are going in my Gold Top Les Paul today for a whirl......
