Mystery solved. They are VTL5C9s. Thankfully I have a spreadsheet of everything I've ordered. No marking on the body at all? Maybe take a close up pic and we can compare with our known optos.

Glad I’m not the only one doing that!!Mystery solved. They are VTL5C9s. Thankfully I have a spreadsheet of everything I've ordered.
What's a Hotmail?So do I, It's the Search function in Hotmail!
Nice haul! Any plans to use a CA3045 in a super fuzz? They seem well suited for that, especially with the built-in differential pair for the octave stage.34x harvested and corroded Raytheon 2N1306 Ge NPNs, most measuring 130-145hfe with low leakage!!! For 75 cents a piece!
A dozen 2N3567 gold lead Si NPNs in the 40s.
2x CA3045s for science.
Cable from BTPA.

Truckstop OnlyFansNever heard of it.
21 of the 34 2n1306s land between 100-165hfe on the TC2! 2 duds, 2 with really high hfes and 9 between 45-100. Not bad.34x harvested and corroded Raytheon 2N1306 Ge NPNs, most measuring 130-145hfe with low leakage!!! For 75 cents a piece!

I’m pretty sure that those are hammered silver and hammered copper, not black sand matte. Tayda must have used the wrong powder.A small Tayda order for some boxes. Easily the weirdest looking black sand matte I've ever seen. Customer requested em, but he's wrong
Got some of those schmancy DeMont footswitches from LMS to swap into my recent brux build. And damn, these things are smoov

I think it’s just a joke bc he always uses sand black.I’m pretty sure that those are hammered silver and hammered copper, not black sand matte. Tayda must have used the wrong powder.

They don't seem to be as temperamental to temperature as other Ges, though they do change so I don't think they're Si or anything. Wonder in there's something different , an internal insulating material maybe? Being Raytheon and pulls/harvests, I wonder if they're mil spec/JAN?
The dozen 2n3567s were mostly 30-50s with a couple of odd balls in the 200s? But I'm a sucker for handsome transistors.
Also harvested down a hand radio. Mostly NPNs with low hfe 18-53. All had thier markings removed except one PNP 2N513 GE PNP in the 40s iirc.
I did pull one transistor that was being used as a diode. Left the rest as I have plenty of candidates for that but it was the smallest flying saucer transistor I have ever seen. Will make a cool looking diode, Vf of 750.
I don't think the radio stuff is really worth it if you have a decent stock unless you can find a unit with some real unicorns or the radio was basically free. Maybe finding one made in the UK or USA(instead of Japan) would yield cool results. It is good desoldering practice though. I probably went through nearly 2 ft of braid for the one radio.
Always check the dimensions when ordering capacitors.I came home today and found this at my back gate. Now I had a few drinks over Christmas and new year but didn't think I was drunk enough to order a dodgy Dr Who bad guy.

I wonder I'd there's any decent transistors or anything in there to harvest? At least I know I've found the perfect enclosure for my vanity fuzz![]()
