And an old amp comes back into rotation. This was a Carvin Legacy 2x12 combo which was waaay too heavy to take back on the plane. So I took out the speakers and sawed it in half like the savage I am. You haven't seen a rougher head outside that night with he/she who will not be named. Sounds great though!

Don't worry, I will get a grill back on there and make it look nicer at some stage.
If I ever get it routedI've been looking at that one. Lemme know how it goes with it please
Nothing, really. But back during the 072 shortage/ price hike thing I started using these in their place because they're consistently cheaper, and the specs so similar, that for most pedal purposes the differences are pretty much non-existent. They're still considerably cheaper than the 072s.What’s special about the 353?
No one seems to have any love for the NE5532 anymore! That seemed to be everyone’s magic bullet around the turn of the millennium!Nothing, really. As for NOS, if you can find a good vendor it helps ensure you're not getting fakes or factory rejects. And, generally, the older bits just look cooler![]()

And I’ll be honest, I had good luck using them when I was modding and designing some circuits.
Hey those are my initials!! I have nothing to do with those boards, though. My brother in law reached out looking for a metal zone clone, so looks like I’ll be trying out some GCI stuff.

Quite literally an embarrassment-of-riches has arrived.

What is LCSC?In my Phase90 build report @Guilherme Collateral pointed out that my TL072s are fake. So I bought some new ones from LCSC. Let's hope they are legit this time because I bought 50 of them(and a couple of OP07s)
