I never realized that there was a debate!

He always pronounced it "Bornz." But with a soft "Z," almost like an "S.'

Today I do have something more exciting than pots. I got myself a new compressor!

I have been exploring recording a lot more in depth these past few months since getting my 424 and have been having a lot of fun making music, even if it is at a snails pace.

This is a side of music that I had never really spent much time with, but which the 424 has really opened upy mind on. @Harry Klippton has been helping me get my bearings and egging me on my recording adventures and is a big reason why I've been able to complete a few songs.

Anyways, he kept sending me Reverb links with well priced VLA II's and I finally bit in this one, which was a pretty good deal. It's super clean and I don't even think was ever racked.

I'll have time tomorrow to play with it but unfortunately probably won't have time tonight.

Anyways, here's a couple pictures:

Fuck yeah. I'm jealous, and bummed that I had to return the one I bought last month. Hope it serves you well

Well. Now you have to mod it. :)

Some things are worth paying for.

I really dig Red Panda's DSP. And presets.
Unfortunately I sliced my fretting middle finger open the length of the nail tonight. Just missed the cuticle , thankfully. But got some meat. Took a while but Loctite super-stitches are holding thus far but no playing for a few days. :(

I was eyeing that one. I’m curious to hear your opinion.

I'm hoping to put an order for a few 9mm pots, LDRs, random bits and bobs to work on @dan.schumaker's 1590A univibe-alike. I have a bright bubblegum pink enclosure waiting and I'm wanting to get it done. Even though I have other completed PCB projects I should box first.....

Sasha & I were VERY impressed with the packing, packages and swag from CWA.

Introducing (L-R)
Moka, Moley, and friend:

Moka: named after my very own Brown Dog
Moley: his Agent OO Funk-y nick-name
Friend: Yet to be decided, but just occurred to me — perhaps Tranter’s in-depth dive into the Orange Squeezer.

Two of my favourite colours ousted by the Transparent Copper — it looks so damn good, it takes the win for my affections.

@steviejr92 , thank you so much, I could not be happier!

Got a good deal on this 2009 Les Paul Studio Vintage Mahogany with hard case. I really dig the wood feel of this - nothing glossy and shiny. It’s more my style and it plays fantastic. Action is perfect, intonation is set, and the neck feels nice. I just need to smooth the fret ends a bit, oil the fretboard, and take down some of the finish on the back of the neck.
