We meet in the basement, Mondays and Thursdays at 6.Originally I only planned on only buying a Tearjerker Wah and a Kewpie Fuzz PCB but whenever I see the website says "sale" I can't control myself so half of my wish list landed in my cart

That's my next buy when the TN heat finally kills my current one. It's been funny the last 2 years where itt latches on/alarms constantly when hit with a high K band. Have to power cycle to clear it.

I live in DC, and radar detectors are absolutely worthless because there is a speed camera on virtually every block.

First you tempt me in the what's for dinner thread, and now you're doing it again... And, congratulations on the purchase. It's always good to splurge on yourself once in a while.
Same here except it's a Dollar General door sensor. Newer detectors.have learn features. If you connect to your phone and mute the same thing a few times, it will ignore it. The Uniden and a couple other high end ones can actually tell the difference in an SUV, door sensor and radar gun.and get updated with said info.
In the South, more worried about Barney Fife and his Great Value radar gun. Metro Nashville cops seemed to have given up.

There's a small town en route to Denver from where I am called Wellington (never driving that in winter again…), and they deliberately place confusingly differing speed limits to catch passersby. Happened multiple times while a passenger. I drive Miss Daisy through that town…
Still, a little slowdown is much better than going all the way down to I-70 via I-15 (an extra hour). Never have taken I-80.

Yeah, I lived in Memphis for while, so I get it. Here, we just have to worry about the city raising money any way they can, and of course the occasional mob storming the Capitol.
The only speeding ticket my wife ever got was the one time she used one of these!
Dollar General door sensor? Those would be going off every 15 minutes here!!
Seriously, a few years back when I still had my motorcycle, I had about a 90minute/60 mile backroad loop I’d run for a lunch break ride. In that 90minutes I’d pass 6 dollar Generals and 2 Family Dollars (same store/company). This was like a 12 mile radius from my home. Those damn things are everywhere!

Awesome! Haven't seen nor heard about these devices (Radar-Detectors) for about two decades, as they're not found in HK where the speed cameras are in fixed locations and very seldom are speed traps set up in different locations.
... Because it IS the better and far more interesting pic to post.
I wonder if my Cobra from the mid-'80s still works. I wonder if it can be found in my storage; I was away a long time.

I've had the R3 for a couple years now, I love it. Never had any issues with it.
I will say I took it on a road trip to D.C. and I can confirm that every few seconds was "Speed Camera Ahead". But the lanes there are so damn narrow I didn't feel comfortable driving fast anyway, so it wasn't an issue.
Aren't they illegal in DC?
