What's your current headache?

I didn't realize they were stereo, which is why they weren't on my radar. @peccary has a RNLA

I've got an RNLA but haven't used it since I got the ART VLA. The RNLA didn't handle bass as well as I'd like it to which is why I found myself buying the VLA in the first place. I can crunch the hell out of my bass signal with the VLA if I want, where the RNLA distorts fairly easily on bass.

I like it on vocals and to glue a final track together, but I like the VLA for that, too.

Current headache is sitting at an airport in Sarasota for 4 hours waiting for my flight to leave for Atlanta… Had to travel for work to Florida and I got done with meetings early 🤣🤦‍♂️

I got new earpads for my headphones since the old ones had all the faux-leather worn away already. I cheaped out and got some cloth ones from Aliexpress, but they sound way different. Much more high-mid focused and tinny. I'm debating trying to see if I get used to this or just putting the old ones back. I'll probably order new faux-leather ones anyway.

Wow, I am just discovering a whole new world of fun (NOT) that I never knew existed - the world of endodontists, oral surgeons, and dental implants... I most sincerely tip my hat to those of you that have been through this before.

I'm at the front end of what apparently is a 1 year process. I just spent a long weekend of major tooth pain despite maxing out on ibuprofen AND acetaminophen, followed by endodontic determination that the molar was dead, badly infected, and unsalvageable. So the top of the molar was ground off, the infected interior tissue was ground/drilled out, and then everything was re-sealed so that I now can wait 2 weeks before having it surgically extracted. Down the road lies even more Novocaine, a bone graft, then a dental fixture installation (basically a platinum screw), and finally a crown - with 4-6 month healing periods between each step. The gallows jokester in me is half wondering whether the real reason that the process takes so long is simply to spread out the payments...

Fortunately, as a cancer survivor, I deeply appreciate that I live in an era where treatment exists. What the heck did people think and do in these circumstances centuries ago???
