What's your current headache?

Computer fell = kaputski ; is now in repair shop before my launching any Black-Friday salvos, which I no longer can afford due to computer repair bill. All BF plans/research on computer, which I’ll get back in 2 weeks if repair-shop gets parts in next 3 days.

This missive laboriously typed on tiny phone screen…

We had to postpone our friendsgiving meal to tomorrow because my daughter has been puking all night and day. Now I am freaking out that I may have caught whatever she has (if it's a virus and not food poisoning). Happy thanksgiving to us I guess!
Oh no! I hope she gets better and it isn’t a virus… of course, food poisoning doesn’t sound like a nice consolation, I don’t guess . I hope it works out and she’s ok.

I assume it’s a laptop? Consider yourself lucky parts are available.

My nephew had a similar fever/puking thing that lasted 3 days. He's good and was over for for TG dinner today. I just got finished with a bout of pneumonia. I don't even know how people get pneumonia. Kicked my ass but I'm back in biz.

I had pneumonia back in September. My doctor could not figure it out. I was sick for like 3 weeks and she finally gave me a 10 day antibiotics course and that helped. I blame post covid immune system devastation (my sense of smell is still not back to normal over 4 years later!).

That's rough :F I had covid a couple of weeks back, and briefly ketchup and a random tomato-based sauce in a mozzarella stick container both smelled horrible, some sort of ammoniac/chemical smell. Thankfully it was just for one day, I was afraid it might be here to stay.

I lost sense of smell/taste for 10 weeks on the OG covid. I was completely freaked out, as I live to eat. I think I got it back but hard to bench mark. This round of pneumonia got mostly knocked after a few days on meds so was thankful for that. I was chief cook and bottle washer on TG so was keeping everyone else's health in mind.

The Canada Postal Strike! I’m sure it’s a headache for a lot of folks.
I filled my cart today, and went to check out, but nope. Sorry. No deliveries from foreign countries until the strike is over.
I understand the workers are fighting for their rights. But I want my toys to be here before Xmas. Woe is me and Bah Humbug.

I had covid early last month. It was less brutal than when I had it the first time a few years ago (I didn't get searing headaches and my cough only lasted 3-4 weeks rather than 8) but I could not shake the muscle fatigue. I have been told that one of the varieties going around attacks red blood cells and compromises their ability to carry oxygen. Not sure if that's always been the case but it's taken the better part of two months to get back to feeling normal.

Have you tried scent therapy? I think it might be more meant for people who have lost their sense of smell completely or partially, but if you're not 100% it might be helpful I guess. You basically smell 4 different scents for a few minutes every day to retrain yourself to smell them better or something along those lines.

You switch scents every 3 months or something like that, so it's not a quick process for sure.
