What's your current headache?

I figured it out what was causing the hum!

My wife moved Alfred, our roomba, to a different outlet. Unplugged its charging station and the hum went away! I have to have 10 hours into finding the culprit and it is the damn robot.
My buddies two year old is obsessed with Roombas. The kid has over twenty! He's been one for Halloween two years in a row. My buddy had to setup a 4x8 "pit" section outside so the kid would stop pouring dirt on the kitchen floor to watch them clean it up. First question outta the kids mouth when he found out I can repair electronics "Can you fix my broken Roombas?" He had a serious pile of em too. LMAO.
Good job tracking down the noise!

A two year old has over 20 roombas... Sounds like there's a story here

Current headache... just got a roll of 63/37 No Clean..... This stuff sucks..... I usually get the standard 63/37.. It feels impossible to get it to flow... feels like it's just balling up..... grabbed my regular kester and bam... you can watch it wick down instantly.. So weird. $40 wasted

Welllll maybe more heat or ?
It's just reacting differently to how you're used to working. Spend a bit more time with it?
I do prefer 63/37, but haven't tried NoClean — at least it was not NoClean to my knowledge.

Part of it is new iron but... when I do a pad with the kester 63/37 regular stuff it moves great... I'm set on 370C where I normally like to roll

Latest headache: I ordered the wrong size caps from Tayda so now I’m short a few 8.2nF caps to finish my Cepheid and Tayda’s shipping took forever!!! Ugh! 😩 If anybody is willing to mail me a few caps of the right size I can send you some PNP Ge transistors in exchange.

Trident packet for scale. Couldn’t find a quarter.

I HATED it at first but it’s great once you get used to working with it.

This is super weird. I use (MG) 63/37 No Clean at 350 C and have no complaints. Maybe a silly question but did you tin the new tip with the new solder?

Check the datasheet for your particular solder. No clean is lower temp than rosin core I think. You could be burning the flux off. A quick Google said one no clean spec was 315-371 C. I mean, you're probably fine but worth a shot, right?
Or it may even be printed on the spool.

I've used no clean by MG chem and Kester and both work great. Did you switch to a funky brand too?
