If you haven't tried it then it's a must. Still mostly 12+ fret octave stuff but super usable. Roll the volume knob for your fun synth stuff too.

Oh its the push me pull you, wonder how the paratheses octave would do on its own following a sunflower. Ill have to try that later

Well I'm not a huge user of octave fuzz, but I built a Fuzzy Foxx for a friend and was so impressed with it I built one for myself. Sure, I've hardly ever used it but it's very good.

As for the thread's question- I'll echo the love for the Foxx Tone Machine, too. It's fairly brutal, but the octave is prominent all over the neck with whatever pickup position

While not exactly a FUZZ fuzz, the green Ringer is rad, and can be used to add a ring moddy octave up to your favorite dirt box

I like adding a green ringer to a fuzz. And that’s what I use on my board. But as far as Octave Fuzz goes, I like the Super Fuzz. I have a BYOC that gets played a few times a year. The chugging sound I get with it is fun at home, but not a sound I use when I gig. Not yet anyway.
I suggest modding the “tone” switch on the super fuzz. Instead of a switch for scooped or non-scooped, put a Pot in there and you have more scoop ability.
And while you’re filling your cart, the Propolis is a blast. No knobs. Just gated octave fuzziness.
And one last thing. Build all of them. You’ll be happy with the results.

I’ll throw in another vote for the Foxx Tone Machine.
A friend gave me a Danelectro French Toast for my birthday many years ago. Loved that thing.

Eventually built my own (from a GGG board), added a “fat/bright” toggle (which I think is from a Fulltone clone version) and put a momentary footswitch in parallel with the Octave toggle. So if the toggle is off, you can cut the octave in and out with the momentary.

Turning down the fuzz on the FTM and mostly just using the octave will get you some cool metallic, faux-ring-mod type sounds as well.

The Superfuzz is one of my favorite fuzzes, but doesn’t sound super “octave-y” compared to some others.

Agreed!

Having done both vanilla and modded, the couple of mods I've tried, here and there, make it a touch more versatile, but the OG is still a classic.
