I used to do repairs for a big chain of music stores in the Seattle area, working out of the central warehouse. The bay next to my shop was a garage, housing a winged sprint car that the owner's kid raced mostly on the local bullring circuit. That circuit was good enough to attract the occasional WOO star, and the kid was good enough to win quite a bit, and to typically get through a few rounds when there would be a WOO race or similar within reasonable driving distance. With a better $$$ car he might've been a tier or two higher, I reckon. That job was rather short lived and somehow I never made it to any of the races though, sadly. But I loved checking the car out and hanging with the chief mechanic, who was also the warehouse manager. I could make a LOT of noise in my shop without bugging anyone...
