The tube screamer that can rule them all. Chuck said it best about this one “this is the only tubescreamer you’ll need” and I agree. I went with the sherbert variant of this simply to have the maximum amount of gain on tap just in case. It’s a tube screamer with additional EQ controls that are very versatile. The build went pretty smooth and no complaints other than the dual pot was touching some of the other components and a piece of card stock solved that. For the enclosure I wanted to do a play on “Frost” so I wanted to paint Mr. Freeze. That proved a bit difficult for my skills so I went with a yeti (abominable snowman). My drilling was slightly off on one of the holes so now two of the knobs are touching. Slimmer knobs can fix that and I may switch them out. This will be used most likely in front of my rat for maximum awesome sauce!

Looks great! I agree, smaller knobs are in order.

When I first built mine, I altered the values of C3 & C4 to increase the height of the MID peak. After playing it (off and on) for a few years, I decided that if anything, I wanted the MID peak to be lower, not higher. I'm now running 6.8nF for C3 and 15nF for C4 (along with C100K dual for the MIDS pot and 6.8K for R4 & R5). I may even reduce the mid peak further. If you decide that the MID peak is too pronounced on yours, then either increase C3, decrease C4, or both.

I also changed the flavor from Mint to Sherbet so that the extra gain is there if I want it.

I have home 3D printed dual pot covers if you want me to send you one. I used them in my Electrovibe and my Frost!

Looks great! The simple white/blue/black color theme works great.

I just happened to read that comment referring to the Frost Drive yesterday. I've been thinking of eventually building a Plumes to boost some other pedals, but I might build this instead.

I think I preferred the look of the bigger ones (plus I think the two color knobs were more "sophisticated" instead of just the simple blue knobs on white enclosure), but I feel like the smaller ones are easier to turn for sure. Both are pretty good.

I personally like the bigger ones, but because I screwed up the hand drilling (surprise, surprise), I had to use the smaller ones

The Boss-style ones are definitely the cooler knobs in my book too, but not having them crowded would win out for me.

The Yeti is great. I love seeing hand drawn stuff.. Some day I'll get up the guts to commit something to a pedal.
