Every business on the planet has room for improvement. And a list of only 4 items in the suggested poll doesn't seem "thurough" enough. While "More Fig" seems an appropriate poll addition, I think "More Robert" is the key. Maybe even two or three more of him. Considering how many folks he interacts with daily in this forum, the number of email & PM requests he gets and answers, the ever-growing list of project wish-lists to fulfill, the orders to fulfill, the PCBs yet to design, build docs to complete, the never-ending re-ordering of supplies to fulfill more orders, this forum management/administration and the PPCB Wiki, I get the distinct impression that Robert lives, eats, breathes, sleeps & shits PPCB 24/7.

I think having a centralized forum post per released pedal would be a solid, yet easy to implement, improvement. This forum is incredibly valuable, but having a single location to go to instead of searching every thread that mentions e.g. "biasing pedal X" would be nice. A wiki page would be even better, with component swap info, community-contributed mods, etc. but that would take more work and moderation, though seemingly less than cranking out full blown build docs, so maybe an easy win. Plus there seems no shortage of reliable folks here to serve as mods/admins of a wiki.
What's this Pedal X? I couldn't find it in the forum nor on the PPCB VENDING MACHINE, is it "coming soon"? What circuit is it based on? I've already got several great graphics planned for it but can't decide on which movie poster for...

Change out the graphic-title to "The Man With Pedal X" and "The Weirdest Effect The Earth Has Ever Heard"

There's dozens of other posters, or maybe an etch of a black & white still from the movie...

Here was my prop for my big reveal that never happened during CDBs design challenge…it’s still in a box, waiting…

Overall, what I'm still hearing is you want Robert to hold your hand. This is just an observation and not a fact. A list of parts, not necessarily a BOM per se would be faster for us, but slow Robert down. This would make build prep easier, but we can also read the PCB and jot down values just the same. A schematic is helpful for troubleshooting, but always available when asked. Otherwise, it's just for nerds like me to look at, I love reading schematics.

What would take this community from good to great? It's already great! This thread has created a dialogue among the community. We've all continued to come together and support each other, and the OP. I think that keeping things the way they are and having patience will continue to yield more kick-ass projects. In return, we continue to support each other.

The other thing would maybe be a potluck dinner every Sunday.....

All I know is that we are def spoiled by having availability to such a huge stock of quality PCBs/diy circuits alone. Looking at schematics and then trying to translate that into a working Vero/protoboard build makes me want to puke just thinking ab it. Have I done it, yes. Do I enjoy it……not nearly as much as some. Having on board pots is worth the “price” of no BOM/Schem/drill template to me, although the drill template is my biggest crutch. The only thing that would make this place “the best” is the Ringtone or Evil Filter boards…..I kid. @Robert keep up the fine work you do, it is much appreciated, if not bank account draining😬

I'll bring the horse meat 🐴

Can’t argue with that!

The solution is we all by plotters and print 16 by 30 prints. To hell with the environment!
I recently visited a customer for work who printed each sheet of their (admittedly hideously complex) wiring harness schematics at ANSI E size: 34 x 44. After you've folded & unfolded one of those a couple of times, you learn to just leave it open on the floor. Conveniently doubles as a floor mat, so you don't have to worry about tracking that workshop glitter into the interior.

Makes sense now why the 11 x 17 prints we made read like 8-bit hieroglyphics.

I second having single threads for circuits. Some of these already exist, like the Electrovibe modifications thread.
I have no idea how to implement that however.

Right now info on circuits is spread across build posts, turorials, resources and off-thread posts here and there.

Consolidating all that info is quite the undertaking and it would be difficult to enforce. There'd still be random posts which would require heavy moderation of the forum, of which I have no idea how much there is right now.

However the most prolific and knowledgeable of us can kind of get this started in an unofficial way and it might just take off.

Ok I'm just rambling at this point.
Really a BOM with n.of parts per value would be sweet.

“More Fig” is glaringly absent from the available choices…
Should have been the first one! We all love you @fig
Not being defensive or anything, but this is a real question, does anyone else really read all the stuff Aion and MadBean's puts in their build docs?
I've stopped printing out the whole bundle. I just need the drill template, the BOM, schematic, that's about it.
And I consider myself a noob having only started building pedals in March.
I read everything and retain nothing, even on shit I won’t build i sit and read it all.
I read all the stuff Aion writes up about the pedal. Never print it but always read it. But I'm a read it all kinda guy. I've learnt that it often saves time down the track. Plus I'm a geek that way. My mind has a way of filtering information. The less important it is the greater it is that I will remember it until my dying day. Your name? Gone in an instant.
We may be cut from the same cloth my friend.

A potluck get together would be epic! Ill supply the drinks and candies and gummies.
