So had the girlfriend(now wife) bent over the hood parked by this bridge next to a cemetery…
I think we had moved on to bending her over the railing when we heard something in the bushes next to the bridge…. Okay, look don’t see anything. Get back to it and a similar sound closer this time occurs again. This time the wife pulled her pants up and made us leave… we did finish later down the road if your interested…I think anyways has been a long time. Can’t remember much besides being freaked out..I mean this wasn’t an animal or anything like that..definitely something spooky going on that we actually stopped and left..haha.

Also another time at this same bridge, since you know I hadn’t learned my lesson.. I was alone and toking on some herbs, and the hole car started shaking up and down..like someone was standing on the back and jumping on the bumper. Looked and obviously no one there.. and I get the hell out of there. Have not used that bridge since. Haha.
There 2 ghost stories from the same spot…..

I work at a native American facility and the hotel section every December, they perform some rituals to send any 'lingering' spirits onwards.. the practioners for the past few years ask me to be there because I have a tendency to feel a few rooms be a slight bit... colder than others. Not sure if I want to again this year... Other people on staff speak of weird noises and such, but I try not to laugh at them because those are a matter of acoustic physics from other floors in the hotel and every room having a balcony. Always fun to enter a hotel room, the thermo is set for like 75f/25c but feels like 50f/10c.....

When I was growing up, one of me friends lived in a very old homestead. Given that NZ was only 150 yrs old at that point, having a house 100 yrs old was ancient.

It was a lovely old place, they had a ballroom and would throw these big parties with live music and a lot of drinking and smoking.
It was fairly common that there would be a ghost sighting after one of these big parties. As a kid it was always a bit "oooh" and "scary". Thinking back as an adult, the sightings were always coming from a severely intoxicated person in the early hours of the morning. You can work your own theories..

One day I saw another person reflected in the bathroom mirror. Luckily I don't remember the face. I was probably tired.
Too many hallucinogenics around to believe ghost stories but I still like to think that

When I was a kid my parents moved us to a house that my mom helped design in Connecticut. They found a piece of land they liked part way up a mountain at the very end of a dirt road. Not sure if it was to save money or convenience but they built it on an old existing foundation. I remember seeing the foundation before construction started with trees growing out of it and it creeped me out. Always remember weird vibes from that house. We lived there for 4 years and I would never go in that basement alone.

When we first moved in, Ted used to come home all the time. Every time, we would welcome him home and then close the door. Everybody who came by to see our new place said they felt a strange but good vibe being here. People from around town would knock on the door to welcome us to town and said Ted would have loved what we were doing with the place. He doesn't come home that often anymore, but he's still welcome. Ted's been dead 10 years now

Years ago, my girlfriend at the time had parents who owned a bed and breakfast. It was an old house with lots of antiques. There was an old rotary phone that was not plugged into anything. Just there for decoration. Every once in a while it would ring, always scared the begeezus out of me. Hated going into that old house.

My favorite ghost song, here performed in 1973 by a young Tom Waits at the beginning of his career. This is back when radio stations would host live music concerts. I recommend finding the whole set (KPFK Folk Scene Live Los Angeles 1973-08-12)

I was probably about 12, and we lived at the end of a dead end gravel road, basically the road ended and opened up into a giant grass seed field. It’s probably a bit after midnight I’m sitting in the living room watching tv this is late summer so they have already harvested the grass seed. I hear a car coming down the road it’s a white el Camino. They keep going past the house and pull into the grass field. I’m looking out the window this guy and gal get out and walk around the back meet start groping kissing etc, of course 12 year old me couldn’t take my eyes off it. They get in the bed of the el Camino. I don’t really know what made me do what I did next….

So I go to my room and get my wrist rocket and grab a pocketful of marbles. I wasn’t the greatest shot so this was pretty dumb. Head out the back door and head over to the tree line between our property and the field I was probably 50 ft from the el Camino. She’s riding dude in the bed having a good old time. I get my wrist rocket loaded up with a marble and let it fly toward the cab of the el Camino, I wasn’t trying to hurt anyone just mess with them. Ping! It was a hit she stops mid movement and kind of looks. It was pretty damn loud. But after a pause keeps going (I couldn’t hear what was said but in hindsight I’m sure it was something along the lines of him saying it was nothing.). I take another shot nothing. Third try, another hit. Ping! This time it seemed louder and she stopped pretty much hopped right off they both half shuffled to the cab pulling up pants fixing belts etc. and away they went. Curious now if they look back on that wirb a similar story, likely though this was just a One nighter that met at the bar down the road.

Maybe there was a 12 year old boy who lived near that bridge. Lol.

Not my official entry, but... True Story:

When I was a teen before I got my driver's license I cycled to and from my job washing dishes & bussing tables at a pizzeria.
EVERY time coming home from work, about 1am usually, as I passed under the streetlamps, there was one street lamp that would go out as I passed under it.
The same streetlamp every time. Not my imagination. No lights on my bike in those days to trigger it off, no cars on the road, just me and my bike.

Sometimes it would go out just as I was approaching it. Sometimes as I went under and occasionally just after I'd passed under it — but it would always go out.
Always.

So I stopped looking at it, tried to ignore it, but ...

Every time. Always.

One time, I cycled underneath it, ignoring it, passing it and I could tell it had not gone out and as I approached the next streetlight fully lit, I got to the point where I wasn't able to tell if the "spooky" one had gone out or not because of the light spill from the one after that I was now under so I looked over my shoulder out of the corner of my eye and I could see ol' spooky was still on — nope! It went out as my eye came to rest fully on it.

I don't believe in ghosts. I do believe in energy. Everything vibrates, 'cause molecules are vibrating, so when Brian Wilson cancelled a studio session due to "bad vibes" I believe he felt it. Like when you suddenly feel you're being watched and look up and there's someone staring at you. So maybe there was some weird energy thing going on with the streetlamp?

I don't know, don't really care enough to look into why this one particular streetlamp always went out as I passed by it — I just know it did.
