What's in the mailbox? 📬 📦

Tbh I've been getting stuff in the mail and not telling y'all
This ... like I kept meaning to participate but then I'd just move on to the next thing, kinda like the build reports ...
This. I figured no one really cares what I got in the mail, and like ICTrock said, no one really cares about the build reports. @Harry Klippton sent me this and confirmed what I already knew so I guess I'm dead here ☠️😑🥶🙏⚰️🪦🥀

Finally incoming this morning: SmallBear order from two weeks ago, the last day or the 25% off sale. 50KC right angle dual pots (yay, hard to find elsewhere!), 50KA straight PC format single gang pots, cream contempo and mini contempo knob set for my next WTHPF build. Nothing earth shattering, just what I already happened to need a week ago. :ROFLMAO:

I was just generalizing. Most people will just throw a thumbs up and never comment.
I’m not sure that just giving you a thumbs up would send the right message.

Some build reports keep me going, when I don’t have time to get into building, or have hit down spots in motivation. It’s a shame that as people build more, get better, build even more, then stop doing build reports. It’s kind of the tale of the game, once you’re competent, you don’t care for doing the reports anymore.

Except for MikeW. He’s just an all round machine.

So true.
I build so rarely that any pedal is an event and I better document it. I also try to give some info in case I learned something new to me, made mods or happened upon a quirk. I try to add some value since I leech so much info from here.
I wish I could do more.

As for MikeW, he probably completed a build + report while I was typing this comment.

Build reports inspire me to build that particular pedal if it interests me. I don’t read the whole thing sometimes, but I will listen to audio clips if they’re posted.

I only click the like if I like and I only comment if I think I have something to add. I find build reports motivating myself so I try to post mine to motivate and encourage others. Sometimes I'll look at a @Guardians of the analog post and see 15 comments that cover everything I would've said so I just click the like.
The GoTA build reports need their own reaction icon, that shizz is class.

Pink bag day in this neck of the woods!

Nothing exotic or particularly exciting in there, but essentials for resolving backed-up projects (such as missing caps and pots).

Haven't placed any significant orders since last November BION (believe it or not) and fortunate this time not to get hit with outrageous DHell fees. Seems there is some way around this if one registers with local customs and excise and quotes the correct code for electronic components, so that VAT (15%) and brokerage fees are payable but not line item surcharges (which usually cost a bomb).

When my latest PPCB boards arrive (Equilux, Hydra, and so on), there will no doubt a Tayda recharge required but meanwhile there's a backlog to attend to.

Brace yourselves, dear collective wisdom, for long-winded and garrulous build reports in the coming days. Or feel free to ignore these as you see fit.

Can you go into more detail about avoiding the DHL leeches? We have 23% VAT in Poland and I think ordering from Tayda costs something crazy like 50 Euros.
