Gibson Sucks!

Come to think of it, I don't think I could play a guitar with another guy's name on it. It's like wearing Calvin Klein underwear.
Of course Fender is ok

As a Lefty, I never knew about this. Kinda lame and lazy lol. Looks like that's how these were made back in the day too, wow! The 50's was humanity ushering in the Jet Age and Gibson couldn't flip a silkscreen over.

But I'm thankful I play guitar right-handed. It's the only thing I do right. hehehe

I actually just listed my Goldtop Classic I just bought for maybe a Custom Shop Goldtop because I love it so much. It'll be a right-handed one, but I already know they're gonna screw something else up on it. There's always something.

It's things like this which make me grateful to be right handed. I would struggle in a left-handed world.

Having said that I don't watch that fella's videos because he is always whining. Fair enough in this case, but he does go on about stuff that doesn't matter, or is just plain wrong IMO. He's a PITA overall.

Guitarists are a rarity in a right handed-world in that we have left handed guitars. Left-handed instruments are very rare. Left-handed piano? Left-handed violin? Clarinet? Saxophone? Not saying it's right (excuse the pun) but all the more reason to go back to the womb for reprogramming.

I'm right handed but I can only eat left handed. I can't use a spoon with my right hand or I'll spill food everywhere.
What is wrong with me?

Anyway it seems it's not only a matter of cost. Making left-handed reed instruments is expensive for the small market share. Left-handed bassoon anyone? A plastic student model bassoon costs at least 6 grand.
But a left-handed violin/viola/cello/double bass? Just reverse the neck, nut and the bridge. Those parts are probably made by hand anyway.
I think it's because orchestral instruments are from back when left-handed people were forced to be right-handed. I remember my grandma telling my left-handed cousin to "use the beautiful hand". Way to turn someone into a psychopath grandma!
My cousin's ok though. I think.

Actually there's more to it with any of the violin family. The sound post is offset to the treble side and the bracing is different on each side. And I've never seen a left-handed chin rest. The other reason is that in an orchestra a left-handed violinist would elbow the next player in the face! None of these things would be impossible to overcome but it tends not to happen.

My dad was left handed and was forced to write with his right hand at school. After school he reverted to writing with his left hand. As a result none of us could ever read anything he wrote!

There are cricketers in Australia who bat right handed and bowl left. Some people are more left/right handed than others. Apparently being left handed is more common in Korea. I know that I am very right handed. All part of being a human rather than a machine.

My daughter, also a lefty, and my youngest son both play most sports righthanded, my son does throw a football (the American kind) lefthanded.

I’ll be honest— I’ve never understood the complaint about right handed pots on lefty guitars. The other common complaints all make sense to me, but why would a lefty want full volume/tone at full CCW? If everything else is pretty much universally min-CCW, max-CW, why would you deviate from that just for a guitar? You don’t have lefty amps and pedals where the direction of all the pots is reversed, so why do it for guitars? It seems it would just be cause for more confusion to have your guitar knobs acting counter to the standard set across all other devices you’re using.
The only argument I can think of in this case is volume swells, but 1) volume pedals are better 😉 2) it’s just as easy to swell up in volume as it is to swell down in volume with your pinky, so why does that matter? And 3) honestly who’s even bothering with volume swell’s anymore? It’s a niche trick that maybe 20% of guitarists will ever use in 3% of songs.

Yes, Volume swells with your Pinky???
All they have to do is use or make Reverse taper pots where Audio taper is used in Right handed models, but the cheap pricks don't!!!

I can't stand this guy because he buys these guitars then marks them up and sells them. I wouldn't say it's dishonest, but it's bullshit speculating on "investments" like that that have ruined different markets whether it's guitars and pedals or even houses.
