I appreciate how he's built a giant body of work around empathy for common people. But I wish Emmylou Harris would cover all his songs, because honestly I'd rather hear her do them.

I probably heard too much of him on the radio back when. I have no strong feelings about Springsteen but to suggest he's under-rated might be a stretch!

I heard Born to Run on the radio recently and thought it wasn't bad. What always puts me off is the twinkley bell sounds he has on his songs. WTF are they doing on a rock'n'roll record?? Lyrically he's a bit earnest for me and veers a bit close to the cliché from time to time. But I can think of worse things to have playing on the radio. Fleetwood Mac for one...

I really like him. I don't claim to be a super fan or anything, but he certainly ranks among the top American songwriters in my book. They can't all be winners but when he nails it he really fucking nails it.

I like Peter green. And I like some Fleetwood Mac songs. “Second hand news” is my favorite. I just don’t like all the Fleetwood Mac worship that is going on recently.
