I did an order from that one site back in early December and just now got it. I just wanted the Black Goat and Mystic, and didn't find PCB's for them from anywhere else. I also have a couple of enclosures from before I started using the Tayda UV print system, and I'll stuff the other two on them and draw some farts or whatever, and gift them to friends.

It came with a note which mentions they created a free course on PCB design using EAGLE Cad, which is pretty cool. Also a link to free eagle and gerber files for a muff.

It did also mention that they're selling their whole library as eagle and gerber files for $99 for a limited time - and explicitly mentioned that buyers can then rebadge and label them and sell as their own. So, uh, that's also now a thing. Not sure how I feel about that. Or I feel vaguely that it's a bad thing, but not sure why.

The Mystic can be done easily with an MXR Dist+/DOD 250 PCB and an EQ PCB (I like the Emexar and TwEQ from GPCB for this as they can both be crammed inside an 1590N1 Hammond).

I don't know what the Black Goat/BAT Black Sheep is based on, so I guess PCBGM will suffice if the board is good.


I've got an Acapulco Tone (really the Glass Jaw circuit) from ages ago before it became widely known the boards were wildly unknown if they'd work at all.

Lizard... welp, I went for a Lot of PPCB's.

There are a few boards available only at PCBGM that continue to tempt me, but my back aches from the weight of the build back-log as it is so I continue to resist at about 6M2...

I know it might be possible to rig up something to re-create the Black Mystic, but the boards are already cheaper from PCBGM than from PPCB for me, plus they had a huge sale going on, plus I knew that board is verified.

I also picked up the other two because like I said, not placing a huge importance on them and they were very cheap.

Old ways/ideas die hard. I've cobbled together stuff in the past only to realise... could've should've would've bought a single board for cheaper/easier build. I guess I like the challenge?

I really should build up my PCBGM boards, I just have altogether too much stuff goin'...

This is really hard to capture but this January powder drop from lms is quite beautiful. The glitter is subtle but gives a hint of color at certain angles. Also pictured, switches for my kewpie.View attachment 67237

I've been wanting to replace my ancient broken ones for quite some time, but new ones are typically crazy expensive at retail. It'll be nice to be back to a set of 4, three different cutters plus some matching small pliers. These are NIB too, which is nice since so many used ones are pretty janky.

- Yorkshire Pulse and Enchanter are from @SillyOctpuss (it was a give away, he included even a selection of diodes! too cool, so thanks again)

- Deadend FX: Shillelagh (LAL 46) and 2 SS/BS circuits - Subarashi (TAFM) & Zupperbee (BUZZZ).
- Unsound Circuitery Blood Letter (HM-2), again, this one is for a friend.

Jamerson flats, a new tuner, replacement volume pot for my Start and a massive pedalboard that can fit my oddly shaped fuzzes.

A proper 60s reissue P bass with the correct neck specs and dark rosewood. Vintera II. The pickup seems good but it reads over 11k and it's quieter than my other P bass with an 8k ceramic pickup.
Same issue with both: the G is super loud and the E way too quiet. I've had to slant the pickups all wrong to get even volume. Maybe it's my Rumble.

Some rough edges, the side dots are so wonky it's comical and it needs shielding.

I bought this bass for the pickup also. I like the sound. As I said my other P has the same issue. I've had to raise the pickup close to the E and lower it under the G. Same flat slant on both basses. I will listen through my interface. If it's not my amp, it's my ears

I have the same issue. My ears are so bad now, I can’t really hear ads frequencies. For a bass player, that’s no bueno.

It really is gorgeous. I got a 1590BB of it and it’s my favorite powder drip yet. Really really wish I could get a 1590U done up in it for my Sagan Delay build. Ive had it planned out for years now, but I really want it to have a glittery pearl white like this, and silver graphics (I was always planning on a screen print, but I’ve seen that @Harry Klippton has done silver no-film decals— that might be a better option) so I’ve been putting it off since I absolutely won’t compromise on the looks for that one pedal since it’ll likely be the “crown jewel” of the SW board it’s planned for.

It was hard to explain that to people without them thinking I was being all political (or them giving their canned political responses)… no I don’t care who you vote for… but it freakin sucks not being able to hear anyone!

My ears are still good I think. But they took a hit in 1994 when I stood in front of Dime's rig, front row at a Pantera concert.

You're not kidding. Protect what you have left, or the low end is next. I've been wearing hearing aids since I was 35. Lots of stage time and loud rehearsals.

Maybe it's my Rumble.

I have all kinds of tone response issues with the Rumble, but usually it's the low end that booms for me. I really want to love the Rumble because it sounds so good by itself, but when I get into a band situation, I lose the high end in the mix. When I try to compensate, the low end gets really muddy.

I have a rumble 100 and I plugged the ports with polyfill and it tightened up the low end nicely..
much less boom.

But it is strange that both my P basses need to have the pickup raised so much close to the E string and lowered far from the G string.
