What's in the mailbox? 📬 📦

Once it's verified as working, as always with these units, recommend popping the top and checking the battery and PSU caps. Maybe even power supply voltages. And be sure it's rated for 110/117/120 before plugging in. As wall voltage has increased over the years, tweaking the PSU rails may be needed.
If the battery is in a clip, someone has replaced it at some point as the originals were soldered in. If needed, a flush mount CR2032 battery clip from tayda, etc should work. Anything under 2.7ish means it's done.
I made sure to buy a 120v and not 100v unit

I saved this the other day while I was waiting for the rev 5 to show up

Came yesterday:

Stickers from our good friend Will,

And my latest PPCB order of some bass friendly boards (which ones, besides the Drebbel? It’s a surprise. AKA I didn’t have the other boards on my bench at photo time) also came with a very exciting super secret bonus— not gonna spoil the surprise unless I can get the parts together to build this one during my spring break this week, but if you know anything about me, you might be able to guess why I’m in such a rush to build it! 🤩

Many thanks @Harry Klippton and @Robert

After hearing demos for the Tacit Blue fuzz face and how it sounds with humbuckers I realised I needed one in my life.

Saw a dude on Ebay selling cv7351s tested for hfe and leakage on a dca55. I bought three of them, two for the tacit blue and one for a npn rangemaster. On my dca55 they're testing a little under the values advertised but it's pretty cold in N Ireland today so that makes sense. Looking forward to seeing what they sound like in a circuit

I popped two of these into a silicon sunface clone tonight and they're really excellent sounding transistors. Not too much bass, they clean up pretty well, really good overtones and are absolutely silent in the circuit when you turn down your guitars volume. Really happy with these.

Definitely need to order the tactical fuzz pcb and a transformer now.
