Not in the Mailbox any more! Ordered these on 5/20, got them today 9/3. Made to order special order from CE Dist. Saved me $70 over retail.
Total of 300w for the 100w Marshall 2203 I have planned and in the amp pipeline. I have the chassis and iron, the speakers and the speaker cab. I figure I'll finish the '59 4x10 Bassman first, then the BFPR, then the 2203. I may do the 2203 first. Decisions decisions......
You would not BELIEVE how heavy these are!!! Cast frames too.

They're a "special order" meaning non-stocked, but they're not custom.

I was having a problem wording that, lol....
CE Dist sells quite a bit of stuff they don't carry. Those items are called Special Order and come directly from the manufacture, but with a CE Dist freight label on them. If the manufacturer has them in stock they ship immediately. If not, then it's time to wait for the next manufacturing run, which was last week, lol.
And this, adverse conditions and bla bla bla, takes forever.....
Ah. Gotta have a business to order direct from CE. That's why they were cheaper.

Business license is not all that hard to get. Pretty cheap too. I had to pay taxes afterwards when I sold something but that meant I didn't need to pay taxes when I bought.Ah. Gotta have a business to order direct from CE. That's why they were cheaper.

I had a CE account long before I had a real business. They ask for at least two pieces of "evidence" that you have a business, I showed them that I have a website and that I have business cards, and that was enough. If I remember right I was a still a college student when I set up the account.Ah. Gotta have a business to order direct from CE. That's why they were cheaper.

Also if you file business taxes separately then you get to write off a lot more things. I use a bass and an amplifier to test the pedals that I sell, so when I bought my new bass and my new amp this year, those are deductible business expenses.

My wife worked as a tax accountant, she told me exactly how much I could spend, and we'd depreciate it over five years. I was a contract programmer consultant was was raking in $125 an hour 50 - 60 hours a week. We paid a boat load of taxes even with the side business and the deductions. I was also doing DJ and we depreciated the PA system. 1000w per channel with JBL JRX125's - incredible sound reinforcement speaker system.
Dual 15" with one a subwoofer/bass and the other normal bass/mids plus a horn for the highs. Moved so much air that it was like the walls didn't exist - just as loud on both sides. Still got 'em but they're in mothballs now 'cus they're HUGE, and I use my JBL LSR308 8" studio monitors. So small, but great sound.

When I opened mine a few years ago, I had to provide my EIN so it seems like they've updated the requirements a bit
Saw that when I went to sign up as well.
