I'm surprised they didn't make it from Magaogany.
I’ve been thinking about moving since the election…I envy you guys who live in other (not US) countries.
Totally. I am not actually going to move. My wife was like: now we gotta fight. Here we go.I’m kind of going the other way- I’m ready to lean in. For better or worse, this is where my home and my people are.
There’s too many things, so I just pick one or two. One of my big concerns is public health. H1N1 shows no signs of slowing down, and RFK wants to stop research in infectious diseases to focus on chronic illness.
Depending on how things shake out, it may take organization at the municipal and state levels to protect people. Of course, that goes with all sorts of issues. People focus so much on the federal level, while the most change can happen at the levels below it.
I'm with her on that one. Also, what's the point of moving when everything sucks everywhere anyway? Where can one go to fully avoid the failures of mankind?Totally. I am not actually going to move. My wife was like: now we gotta fight. Here we go.
Opulence or DeathWhere can one go to fully avoid the failures of mankind?
I’ll have cake please.
Wondering since I'll be out of a job if I should take what I have and launch a line of Chinese made pedals called 45/47 with gold plated enclosures and sell them at a premium.I’ll have cake please.
The CDC reported that H5N1 has spread to 200 cattle herds across 14 states. If it spreads to pigs it will be huge trouble because that generally means it's close to zoonotic spillover to people.I’m kind of going the other way- I’m ready to lean in. Only 40k in the grand scheme of things, it doesn’t really sound like a lot until your mom dies. When the chips are down, all we have is each other. Keep living your life and holler if you need help. The CDC reported that H5N1 has spread to 200 cattle herds across 14 states. For the people infected with H5N1, they have a 51% mortality rate. Good thing Trump's picking this guy to lead NIH.

If you don’t want to read, Bhattacharya wrote some rant arguing against mask mandates and social distancing measures (before vaccines were available). In this same piece he argued for attaining herd immunity through mass exposure (ignoring other covid related complications) and estimated that only 40,000 people in the U.S. would die.
He estimated only 40,000 would die. 1.5 million died im the U.S. from Covid so he was off by a few orders of magnitude.Only 40k in the grand scheme of things, it doesn’t really sound like a lot until your mom dies. Yup. They're concerned about aluminum and that a vaccine on the market since 1977 wasn't double blind tested.Have you guys read that this guy Siri who is RFK’s lawyer wants to revoke the polio vaccine? My aunt was paralyzed from the waist down because of polio. And she was lucky. That’s a truly terrifying disease.
Just gonna put this out there - In the wealthiest country in the world male life expectancy is around 74.8 years. In Australia it's 81.1.
