Verrry interesting! What appliance will they be gracing?
A late 90's Seagull Cedar top. I was telling a buddy that I had flats on almost every instrument I own. I took the question "Why not all of them?" as a challenge. Gonna be strange to play a 12 string with no string noise.Verrry interesting! What appliance will they be gracing?
These are incoming today for my just revamped electric guitar:

This will be my first go with coated strings on an electric guitar. I've been very impressed with the phosphor bronze XS on my acoustic and had enough "player points" to get a free set of electric ones, so why not?
Thank you!!look at this dude killin it over here
better now while you can before these things suddenly become discontinued or skyrocket in price i guess.I need to stop buying amp transformer sets.
It's gonna be great, GRX 8xx is a truly excellent groupset!Yup, I considered the AL models, but prefered to start with GRX 8xx group. So CF SL 8 one by it is. Cant wait to complete setup and try it.

you never know when the bean counters are gonna weigh in and pull shit off the menu without notice.
(e.g. no one makes replacement 5150 / 6505 transformers anymore)
Just make sure you don't order the SSOP version like I did.......duh....those were double difficult to solder.View attachment 94583
Always glad in this remote corner ofa distant galaxythe universe as we know itplanet Earth to receive some more boards from our esteemed constituent @Robert. These are the Integral and Simulcast preamps and some 8 pin SOIC adapters because my ambition has grown to conquer the mysterious and minuscule world of SMD components (which I can barely see, let alone negotiate with any confidence in my subminiature soldering skills). Time, I think, to learn how this is done.
These are intended for the Median compressor OP1678s which are only available in that format AFAIK. FWIW I used 833s in the first version and they seemed to work fine but I'm all for authenticity (within reason, and my eyesight permitting).
Regarding the above preamps, I've already breadboarded both so intend to recycle the components in eco-friendly fashion. My eventualnefariousintention is to build 'a new ground-breaking and mojo-redolent' preamp/compressor combo. Ho-hum, you may say, and rightly so.
Thanks for reading as ever. Wishing you all success and fulfilment with all your projects.
Yes Mike, regarding 2134s, my thinking exactly, and thanks for the SSOP heads-up. They're on my upcoming Mouser order list but I'll double-check for safety's sake.Just make sure you don't order the SSOP version like I did.......duh....those were double difficult to solder.
On another thought, You COULD pop 4x OPA2134's in there for uber performance, but that's a pricey compressor.![]()
I like those beehive looking hexagons! Not exactly pedal related but… spray paint for metal, front grills for my amp build, and Schaller Hannes piezo saddles for an upcoming guitar build.

Thanks! I wanted to try something different. They are a bit thin and flimsy but at least I ll see the tubes well. And that will help with the KT88 temperature I hopeI like those beehive looking hexagons!
What are you planning on doing with all the AC187s? In my experience they’ve all been insanely leaky (1-2mA), but good fits for Tone Bender Mk. III-type circuits when paired with the right diode.View attachment 94866
Also, @Robert made me order this since he never released the paramedic PCB.
