What's in the mailbox? 📬 📦

Yeah I'm going to look at them next time I do an amp chassis as well. I pulled up my JLC order to check the breakdown, I could have saved a bit if I went with slow shipping, but I'm not willing to do that.

Merchandise Total: $8.60
Shipping Charge: $27.53
Customs duties & taxes: $7.74
Sales Tax:$2.26
Order Total: $46.13
Thanks for the breakdown. I usually go for the slow shipping, never had an issue. The packages usually chill at the HK airport and land in Paris so it's low risk for me, just takes 10 days or so.

Time to model a chassis without holes, with holes, and with powder coating just to see what each step costs. I will keep the faceplate with a vinyl for now, at least untill I trust the system enough to go for laser engraving or UV printing.

I don't buy commercial pedals often, but every now and then I get really excited about something, and this one is the latest. I still don't know exactly how I'm going to use it, but I don't care, it's going on the board.

It's a pretty unique pedal, I am very happy with the purchase so far.

My only quibble (minor) with it has no midi thru. I ordered a couple of midi din to TRS cables without reading the manual. It ends up not being a huge deal, I configured an Morningstar omni port so I can sync it with my drum machine, but I could have a saved a few bucks. It's cool to start and stop the drum machine and Mess sequencer from the MC8.

Knobs for my amp build (still waiting on the transformer, their deadline was this week /sadface) and CnC bits to attempt doing fretboards this way. 0,6mm diameter is small. Feels like it’ll break if i breathe too hard.

Not pictures: 1m of hollow carbon tube and 100g of fluo powder so I can make my own fluorescent markers for 10% of the price too.
