What’s on *YOUR* workbench?

Something I should have done a long time ago.. Frustrating trying to find a specific PCB when they were all just stacked in a drawer.. Went through every PCB and updated my Google spreadsheet to show which PCB’s I have on hand… I have over 102 different pedal PPCB on hand and many have multiples 🤣.

I got at the langrex store, via Ebay!

@Guilherme Collateral — Where'd you get the OC140?

@swelchy Totally hear you about finding time to build ... I've been avoiding the past several PedalPCB sales as I've got to start getting through the backlog at some point. Yeah, binders are a great idea, but I don't have space for a "library" of PCBs.

Every now and then I come downstairs and find things like this on the workbench. On those days, all pedal building is put on hold until these priority items are taken care of. I love the fact that my kids don't generally get mad when things break, because "Daddy fixes things".

May the day never come when they stop believing you can fix it!

Thinking about all the times I lied to my kids about the repairability of their most annoying toys when they finally ran out of battery.

Finally had a chance to try out my powder coating gear. I tested with some cheap matte black powder from Harbor Freight. The hardest part is making sure not to disrupt the powder before getting it to the oven. It is actually a pretty fun process with not much clean up involved. 1776881911412.png

Can't wait to try some more "exciting" colors and powder.

It turned out pretty well. Unfortunately, not all powders are easy to apply. Sometimes you use too little the first time, sometimes too much :)
I also had a quick poweder coating job today. Black, fine texture.
What is your go to brand for powder. I have some stuff from Eastwood, but I hear prismatic is one of the best.

The store where I buy my powders (in Poland) doesn't provide manufacturer information. Perhaps they order from a "bigger" company and sell under their own brand. But... I bought a few colors from Pristmaticpowders (vein finish), and they're probably the most difficult powders I've ever had to do :)
