New Pedal Releases

Reuss do a Rowland Howard pedal. I bought one when he first came out with it, being a huge fan of the Birthday Party. The pedal is really good, and so surprising. For a Danish guy to make a Rowland Howard pedal seemed odd to me but fantastic! I'm too young to have seen the Birthday Party live but I got to see Rowland play in a small bar in Collingwood once, just him and his Fender Jaguar. It was a great show - way better than expected. He's probably not for everyone but he had that small crowd in the palm of his hand.

The RSH-01 pedal is an MXR Blue Box and Distortion + in one box. I don't even like the Distortion + but in tandem they work and get you into a Rowland Howard place. Since the RSH-01 Reuss has made other versions (in China apparently). Not a pedal I use a lot but it is excellent!

Remake of a rack unit. Never heard of it, so others might tell me if it's good to have.

If you’re a fan of Trey Anastasio, then you’re familiar with the DM2000 rackmount delay. Trey uses it to create an ambient loop called the Funk Siren! In 1983 it was called the most over-engineered delay of its time. This very unique delay with its Hold and Mod feature, is now available in pedal form for the first time. Justin Stabler, Trey’s guitar tech, approached us to try our hand at recreating the vintage delay. It would save him a lot of heartache because after 40 years as the old delays were not dependable. One of the many things that make this delay so unique is its modulation section. Modulation that’s so dramatic its been likened to slamming your hands against the supply reel on a tape deck. The RK2000 Funk Siren Delay features presets, remote switching of Hold and Mod, expression pedal over any control, ping pong pitch shifted delays, and MIDI control.

Yet another delay 1776704708676.jpeg 1776704740073.jpeg Old Blood Noise Endeavers Setback is a reverse delay pedal. In the past, we’ve made what we like to call textural reverse pedals, a lineage
that goes from Rever to Minim to BL-44 and a little bit into Parting. With Setback, we wanted to create our ideal reverse:
something that can be textural and off on its own timing or totally tempo synced; gritty and characterful or clean and tidy;
intuitive and controlled and yet fun and surprising. And we wanted to do all of that in the smallest form factor possible.

Setback Features:
-Stereo in and out with analog dry through
-Buffered trails or true bypass switching
-Presets
-Expression control over every knob
-MIDI control over everything in the pedal, including MIDI clock in for external syncing

Setback Controls:
-Mix to set the blend of wet and dry signals
-Speed to change the playback speed of the reverse, creating pitch shifting effects
-Div to set subdivisions of the reverse timing
-Clock to adjust the sample rate of the reverse, changing both the delay time and the signal fidelity
-Aux switch for tap tempo and held feedback, or preset switching
-Alt controls for volume and direct time manipulation
-Soft-touch On/Off footswitch with relay switching for minimal switch noise
-Requires 9V DC center negative 2.1mm jack power supply capable of 350mA (not included).
-Dimensions: 3.25” (width) x 5” (height) x 2” (depth)

I wonder if they got access to the original firmware or if they're just approximating with new DSP.

oh god I skipped ahead and saw it was called “flannel fuzz”, I will not watch more and see if it gets worse (because now it can’t)

I was out as soon as I saw the guy playing. Stop wearing your hat so it looks like the reservoir tip on a condom. Stop it.
As soon as I saw that I thought "receding hairline alert". I don't mind - I wear caps and hats too for the same reasons at times. But the beanie high up on the head and the flannel shirt look very much like someone's in denial about their age. No point. It happens.

There's a much worse outfit IMHO: baseball cap with a flat visor, no adjuster, turned front to back, and a sleeveless T (not a tank top, a t-shirt with a tight neckline and tight armholes but no sleeves). Like the douchnozzle at the gym today. Yes, of course he had tattoos.

At this risk of sidetracking the thread.... you can see Rowland's starting settings in this collection - https://collections.artscentremelbourne.com.au/#view=list&ObjObjectName=Guitar pedal
