A Festivus for the rest of us!
As I write this we have just had our light christmas dinner. We had a christmas brunch this year so my son and his girlfriend could fit in lunch with her family. So now it's 7.00pm and just me and my wife which is perfect. It's still very hot though. We had a max here over 40C which is over 100F and we also have English neighbours who are still celebrating out on their back deck. They don't seem to realise that Aussie christmases are things enjoyed inside with the air-con on full.
As the temperature is still in the high 30s and it will be even hotter tomorrow - maybe 44C - I think our chances of a white christmas are shot.
