Finally boxing up the magnetron that I've been using for a while. Decided to go with a simple industrial look and I really like the name magnetron so I stuck with it. I kind of followed suit with the pendulum that I did using an aluminum name plate look. This time I went a little further and did the whole top of the box. It was not much fun to get this to look good and line up.
Anyway, I really like the circuit. It's pretty good sounding delay in my opinion.

I would like some opinions on the knobs. I'm trying to decide to go with either all white, all black, or a combination of the two. So I'm going to show these pictures labeled 1, 2, 3, and 4. Please tell me which one you like best.

I like #3, #1 and #2 are a little plain. The white knobs look better to me with this print.

The white knobs in the box look a little like cassette tape.

This is fun! Thank you very much for everybody's opinions. I like it when people tell me why they chose a particular one as well. Right now I'm using it in the configuration a picture number four. And I'm going to try 3 and see how I feel about that. When I first started out I was just going to go all black knobs and then I went and grabbed the white knobs and I was like oh buddy all white looks pretty cool. The Gatordrive was the first pedal I did with multicolored knobs and I felt like it looked good and I had fun with that. So that's why I tried it here.

I had to see them side-by-side...

#3

It makes sense to differentiate the main and flutter control-sections, so 1 & 2 (though there's a box around the Flutter) are out.

Light comes forward, I would say the most used controls (likely the main section) should be white, easy to spot the settings BUT!

#3 just looks more cohesive as a whole while delineating the different sections.

Damn!
I like what ya did there. With the pics and your explanation.
It looks like configuration three wins hands down. I've got set up as configuration 4 right now I'm going to have to swap it and see how I feel about it. Thank you everyone, for participating!

I like #3 the most, great work looks awesome! Out of interest, I just built the magnetron too, have you played with the trim pot yet? I just left it in the middle and sounds great, but not sure what the trim pot is doing, have you tweaked with it and where did you set yours?

Oh wow. I had no idea that version of the magnetic echo existed to be honest with you...lol.
Well I like the words I used better LOL.

I built a circuit awhile back but if I remember right the trim pot is setting the level or volume of the echoes, or the repeats. I don't know where it's physically set but I said it by ear to have the first repeat approx the same volume as the original signal when the level knob is cranked up.
