Flatline compressor doubling up as a helicopter

Hey all, recently built a flatline - super simple build !!! However, with any smudge of dirt it sounds like a helicopter i.e. it’s making this super quick pulsing sound. The more dirt, the worse it’s gets.

Any thoughts ???

It’s a NSL-32 and the diodes are 1n34a. Is amazing clean, just when a bit of dirt is introduced !!!
