I built an Angry Andy this weekend, which is modeled after the JHS Andy Timmons pedal. Let’s address the art work and design first because it’s become the defining feature of this build. I thought it was funny to change Angy Andy into Angry Donny and use imagery along those lines. I’ve realized now that it makes people uncomfortable because they are not sure how to interpret my intentions. The people who don’t know me well who have seen it, start doing the mental math on how to I meant it and what my political affiliations are, and some have just changed the subject because it’s awkward territory. This has actually made the design funnier to me. I was hesitant to even post this for fear of it being considered a political statement, which are not my intentions. MoViNg on! This circuit rips! I love how tight the gain is on it. I should have made one sooner. I did the enclosure art by laser etching through the powder coat, then applying some black enamel paint to where the powder coat was gone, and then using some alcohol to wipe the excess paint off.
