What's in the mailbox? 📬 📦

Got a Reverb tip-off from mbp forum member lars about this, so I pounced:

May just look like a boring 117 reissue, but has a secret inside:

Might be hard to make out on the photo, but that's two MN3004 chips in there…

Thing sounds hella massive and isn't at all like a standard BF sound. Almost goes phasery/chorusy at the bottom of the clock.

Might tinker with the trimmers a but, but man it feels so unpleasant to touch! Needs some CRC love.

Also, RIP

I was wondering what the difference was. Very cool.

Would also love if someone named @Robert wants to trace it 😂
I was thinking about this last night for that r@re 117 reissue, but then I looked at prices of NOS MN3004s

edit: I mean, if he wants to trace it…

That’s awesome. Now I want one. Somebody is selling a busted one but it’s pricey https://reverb.com/p/mxr-flanger-black

Me three; now I want that MXR Flanger as well.

Seems there's a lot of that brand in the thread right now because I want Nostradoomus' MXR Auto-Q, two, uhm too.
IMAGINE an Otto-Queue that's 1590BB portrait with 3 on 3 knob config with a second stomper that... well I don't know what the second stomper is for — yet.

1949 Ken-Rad 12ax7 made in good ol Owensboro, Kentucky. These are very unique sounding tubes in that they have gorgeous clarity and string articulation while at the same time having an early gritty breakup. Not sure if the materials of the Pewter plates have something to do with the tone but they’re very unique sounding. The last two pics are just bonus pics.
