    Automatic Wire Strippers

I did see these getting good reviews (as well as a couple of similar looking no-names) when I was shopping around. I figured the harbor freight would be equivalent to all these. And it works well with small wires?

    Automatic Wire Strippers

Anyone have good recommendations for wire clippers strippers that are effective at 20-24 awg wire? (and that don't break the bank) For most, 22 or 24 awg seem to be the advertised limit, and from what I read they don't work well at the edge of their range. I just bought this inexpensive one...

    What are these diodes doing?

thanks, I caught that before I saw your reply.

    What are these diodes doing?

Both diodes go to Vcc. I would expect this to keep the voltages between Vcc +- Vf and clip signals above or below that range. On second look, one goes to -Vcc. So it'll keep the voltages between -Vcc-Vf and Vcc+Vf. It seems like that would have very little impact as the IC is also supplied...

Current Tayda fees after new tariff?

I wonder how much business Tayda (and other overseas sites that cater to niche hobbies) is losing over this? I hope they stay in business.

    125B General Tso's Compressor

Yeah, I used a standard 4 knob for mine, and added a washer on the switch to account for the larger hole (but that was because Tayda was still selling pre-drilled for cheaper than custom drilled).

Simple tone generator for audio probe

Awesome, thanks everyone, I'll breadboard a few of these and see what works for me.

Simple tone generator for audio probe

When using an audio probe it'd be nice to generate a signal (usually I use a looper pedal, but it requires some extra steps). I see this SMD based circuit in the shop here https://www.pedalpcb.com/product/pcb668/, but I'm more inclined to throw it on a stripboard. Anyone have a simple...

    Best brand of breadboard

Busboard also makes great vero/stripboard. The tracking and the traces are nice and thick.

    new build: Duck Box

yeah this one was underwhelming effect-wise (I assume that's what you're experiencing). I do find boosting the signal into it helps quite a bit, so try that.

Current Tayda fees after new tariff?

is any company actually giving rebates?

Current Tayda fees after new tariff?

I wonder if their low price shipping option weren't managing tariffs so they dropped it or something like that.

    PedalPCB source germanium transistors?

According to Aion's build doc for the Broadcast: "Others including the Dual Broadcast use the NTE 2N404A, a new-production germanium that is anywhere from 50 to 250 hFE. The 2N404A taken from a Broadcast in this video measured at 216 hFE with 125µA leakage." So I guess it sounds "relatively...

    PedalPCB source germanium transistors?

This is what I used in my duocast (and where I bought it) https://www.amplifiedparts.com/products/transistor-2n404a-germanium-5-case-pnp I measured it at hfe=200 and 76 mA

Where to go next? Wanting to expand my knowledge

I hadn't seen these before and spent a couple hours watching some of them. They were surprisingly better than I thought they'd be, but I also learned that Josh doesn't know electronics and you shouldn't listen to him that closely on technical matters.

Mod BYOC Mouse to standard RAT

If you turn the ruetz knob fully CCW, it should be pretty much a stock rat sound.
