All the more reason to start with the basic one. For IC, I'd get an OP07 because they are easy to find and sound pretty much identical to the original, but harder to obtain, LM308.

Use a switched 9V jack, which will disengage the battery if power is plugged in. I'd also use a stereo jack for the input jack, which allows the battery to be disengaged if there's no cable plugged into the pedal. This post explains it well: beavis audio research

My impression is that 1044 is considered an upgrade to 7660 (spec wise anyway). I've used both without issues though. lt1054 is supposed to be better than both.

You could use j113 here too. Any jfet for that matter, although you'll need to change RX4 to set the bias properly. (just realized this post is from 2021--hopefully the OP has it sorted by now :))

A stereo jack can be used to disable the battery when nothing is plugged into the input of the pedal. Common approach to pedals with batteries.

They're for biasing the transistor. Usually, you aim to get about half the voltage (4.5V) on the collector of the second transistor.

I voted for the 18W Marshall, because I think I'd rather have that than a 5E3. But I'd add a 6G2 to your list.
