Any new concerts you're looking forward to (formerly 2023 concerts)

I bought tickets this morning for Boris + The Melvins, in late-September. I saw Boris last September, and it was incredible. Besides, can’t pass up The Melvins playing Bullhead in its entirety…
I picked up mine for the show in SF during the presale yesterday. Seems like a popular show at least in this thread.

Currently sizzling my flesh off in the sun while on the long, long line to get into the Joni Mitchell concert at the Gorge in Washington. at least 200 or 300 people on line in front of me, and the line wraps a mile or two past me too. Doors open in another hour and a half or so
Dang, and I was just complaining about the commute there from Portland. Have a good time!

I think I'm going to the Indy show. It's only within the last couple of years that I started listening to both Melvins and Boris. They've been on my list of bands I wanna see since then.

I missed Boris on the Pink anniversary tour and I've been kicking myself ever since. Kinda feel like that's all I'd want to see from them and don't wanna bother now

I live in Chicago now but I grew up in KC and Bottleneck was the go-to for kick ass shows. along with El-torreon(RIP) in KC.

I love this venue, my first experience there was Phish in the summer of 1999.
Indeed an incredible venue. So far beyond words how beautiful it is. I thought Red Rocks would surely be the most beautiful view I’d have at a concert, but this was in another class altogether.

Haha! Thanks! It was an absolutely profoundly life-changing experience. Joni is just so awe inspiring in general, and getting to see her, here of all places. And with the music that she played… not only was it was easily the single best concert I’ve ever been to, but also one of the most impactful and meaningful instances in my life.

The show I saw her play back in 1979 was at least top five for me, easily. I just can't do big venue shows these days, especially outdoors in summertime, but I definitely thought about making an exception for that one!

I saw Kara Jackson last night in Brooklyn and I have to say she exceeded my expectations. Her vocal performance was incredible. She has great range and intonation and her melodies are so creative.

It’s interesting to realize, now that I’m in my 40s, that there are so many incredibly talented musicians in their early 20s out there and that they make fantastic music even though they are still figuring out who they are and want to be. I guess my youth idols were the same way, I just didn’t realize it at the time!

After Jeff Beck passed and never seeing him live I decided I was not going to miss any more chances to see musicians I like.

Going to see Christone Kingfish Ingram next week and Ally Venable the week after. In August I've got tickets to see Philip Sayce as well as Greg Howe with Stu Hamm.

Here's another: I may go see Snarky Puppy in September in Oakland and I am extremely excited about it!
Saw them last year and it was awesome. Their new stuff was honestly a highlight of the show. Obviously there are the old favorites you want to hear, but the new stuff was on yet another level. Terrific group.

What show/venu

What show/venue is this?
That’s the same concert I mentioned just a few post’s before it. Joni Mitchell at the Gorge Amphitheater in Washington State. Breathtaking view, and the concert was absolutely indescribable! It’s apparently getting a digital release at the end of the year, and I absolutely recommend watching when it comes out. Also, if you ever find yourself traveling to Washington, definitely take the time to drive out to the gorge, and hopefully see a concert there if the timing is right.
