Anybody using wireless guitar systems?

I got my dad a cheap wireless guitar system so he could play from his favorite chair without a long cable. I was surprised by how well it worked so I was thinking about getting one for myself eventually. Anybody here using wireless setups at home for practice? What are you using? This is the one I bought for my dad.

I have a wireless setup similar to this, same price range. Works great! I gig with it! Mostly I love that I can walk around a room and get a feel for the sound from the audience while sound checking. For at home use, highly recommended

I've been using the Shure GLXD16 for a few years now, it's been fabulous. The guitarist in my band has an Xvive U2, I hear good things about that one as well, similar idea to the one you bought.

I've been using a Line6 pedal/beltpack (forget the model #) and it is bonehead simple and works very well. I got the little Nux C-5RC's at closer to $150 and they work amazingly well till they went kaboom. I bought them to play acoustic since I don't use my pedal board and they're great for not using a cable at home. Waiting for the replacements, which should be here in a few more days.

Back like, thirteen years ago I was using the line 6 belt pack for shows.

I'm skeptical of any of the "bug" varieties that are meant to be plugged into a charger after use. Reason being: that's an awful good way to wreck a lithium ion battery. Leaving it on a charger 24/7, I mean.

The tech is there. Its just a matter of implementation. Too many toys that work well enough, but might not be ready at a moment's notice. Or have extremely limited lifespans. Which tends to make cables the more attractive option for home use IMHO.

Though, tangles. Fuck.

I know what you’re saying, my bug used a regular battery.
