Black Friday impulse purchases?

I had placed a small order on here a few days before black friday but still snagged an obsidius and protoboard micro which came back in stock! Obsidius is for a vintage microtubes commission. I have another pcb on the way from pcbguitarmania but figured I'd snag the pedalpcb version while it was in stock too.

I was hoping for better sales elsewhere but didn't see anything good. I swear there was a period in my life that black friday actually had deals worth hunting for online. I think I was 8 or 9.

I remember just 6 or 7 years ago going into stores on Black Friday with my dad and getting big packs of Irwin Quick Grip clamps for $10 a piece, getting pedals on sweetwater for 70% off during flash deals, and getting buy-two-get-one deals on new vinyl records at my local record store. The best deal I saw this year on records was $5 off a purchase of $100 or more, used items only, and the best tool deals I saw were for a free tool bag with the purchase of a regular-priced drill set. Sweetwater had pretty basic doorbusters. I used to get pedals at prymaxe for 30% off on Black Friday all the time, but now they exclude everything. Amazon prime and Best Buy used to have deals where I was able to get Blu Rays for $3 each and box sets for $10— this year I was seeing stuff like $19 for a normally $20 dvd.
Gone are the days of the wild Black Friday savings.

My dispensary has mad black Friday deals going on right now. Like... stupid deals. If black friday remains good for just ppcb and weed, I'm doooownnnn!

None of the things I wanted were on sale, except for a few PCBS this very website. Since I have 10+ PCBs waiting to be populated and I don't have any components I held off.

I did however monitor items over the last few months and sure enough prices were raised then lowered for Black Friday or simply presented as sales when they weren't.

Ultimately I agree with Bill Burr

What's interesting about the Deco is that people seem to use it in very different ways. Some use it as a preamp, others as mild delay, flange and chorus.
This is my experience with it as well. I don't really like it as a guitar preamp or flanger, but LOVE it as a way to add warmth and wow & flutter to a master buss. I use it in stereo, 100% wet with a decent amount of wobble. If you set the Lag time to MAX, you get this absolutely gorgeous randomish pitch modulation (the signal is obviously delayed, but it's not a problem for a mixdown).
