Cataclysm Delay issues

Hey guys,

Recently built two of the Cataclysm Delays and found that the effect level is very quiet and really can only hear a slight almost reverb like sound from them.

I know I shouldn’t have boxed it up… just seemed like an easy build. I had to use two 10K resistors instead of the 20k but I doubt that is the issue. Everything is getting power and seems to be working fine, just not hearing enough of the effect.

are you getting the same sound or lack there of from both pedals you built?
Where did you get your PT2399 chips?

Are you pots that are not visible in your pictures covered on the back the same way the top two are?
Did you turn the mix pot all the up when testing?

were there any deviations other than the 2 10K in series?

Do you have a picture of the back of the board populated and outside the enclosure?

I haven’t hooked up the second one yet, I’m actually missing a pot for it right now.

I bought 5 of the 2399’s from Nextgen Guitars. That’s generally where I get most of my common components.

I’ll try another chip before I take it out and then post the back and some more angles.

Hard to see clearly but are R9, 12 and 22 47K they look like 4K7 can't make out if the 4th bands brown instead of red

R12 and 22 at 4K7 would affect the output of IC1.1 and 2.2
