Based off this BOM how does the yellow Led and ldr set up work do u tilt the ldr’s so they face the led or something like that? Thanks

I think there are some in the build reports that should show pictures.

You can do either. In either case, make light shields so that the two optical sections are isolated from each other. It doesn’t need to be anything fancy (e.g., you could use potentiometer covers), but light bleed should be prevented.
