Do you name your guitars and if so, what?

I never answed the OP question. Nope. Aways seemed weird to me. But to each their own.

Hell, I didn't even really name my 4 kids. The closest I got was just middle name for #2. His initials were gonna be HJ and I couldn't let that happen.
You went for BJ instead? 🙈

Forget that, I read too fast.

Letterkenny is hilarious. Its worth checking out if you have Hulu.

Mark Forward (the guy who plays coach) has some killer stand up as well. In the talent show episode, Dan asks Wayne who his favourite comedian is and Mark Forward is his answer, dunno how many folks caught that :ROFLMAO:

Solid. They're kinda like P-basses without the dead spots. They're kinda like Stingrays in terms of massive fullness.
I agree with Nostradoomus about the switching system. I don’t use the coil taps or the active EQ. I set it in passive mode, leave out the 9v battery, and just use the volume knob.

If you get a chance to play one in person, you should see how you like it
A P bass without dead spots? I'll believe it when I see it.

Speaking of which, I always found it sad when kids are named their dad's name plus junior.
Walt Jr, Robert Downey Jr.

I'd rather be called Dweezil.

I do name them.
I've named my first Gibson Customshop 58 reissue "Brock" after it's finish: Brockburst
It's a 2009 I purchased on 12th of August 2009.
Found out Les paul passed away on that day a day later.
I have it's headstock tattooed on my arm as i love that guitar with all my heart.
Gave it to my oldest son on his 11th birthday and he knows it's a special one.
I grovered it and put a lot of playwear on it and now my son puts his marks on it while playing it everyday.
I gave it to him after I got a 2018 model 58 reissue which is also named.
My friend actually named it, "Willem" a Dutch derivative of "William" (William Lester Polfuss, get it?)
In turn I named his LP traditional "Gerrit", a Dutch derivative of "Gary" ( Gary Moore as his traditional resembles Gary's "Greeny")
I've got a 2001 Gibson sg classic which goes by the name "Rosie" because it's red and Angus plays SG's ( She's a whole Lotta Rosie! )
An Epiphone Flying V 2023 Customshop inspired which is named "Engel", a acoustic Eastman OM6 goes by the name of "Tukker"
And squier jazz bass 40th anniversary who I named like every other bass I ever had: "Bassie"
Why I name my guitars?
Well, ..their mine 🤘🏼

I just name the ones I build myself and the name is "logical" for me. Usually comes alongside the first stages of putting the ideas together for the build.

My first build is Birthmark because the swamp ash of the body has a mineral streak in it (and my first born has a small Birthmark).

My second build is Purple Haze mainly because it's a purple burst.

All my commercial guitars are just what they are. The green RG, the dark 2021, the Universe, whatever is logical at the time.

No because they are not part of actual conversations with other people.
As I don't have multiple guitars of one shape I just say the strat etc.
But I like to give names to horses in RDR2 when I play the bad cowboy. I give them names no one should ever hear.
They are so dirty I would have issues explaining them if my wife would watch over my shoulder when I ride these bad boys (...girls).

While it never made sense to me to personify them, I do hold a perception that when a strap on an axe, it’s an extension of my body and allows me to express myself in ways I couldn’t otherwise.
Well said sir! Recently bought a Bouzouki. Very Led Zeppelin Houses of the Holy-ish, tuned GDAD. Totally new me. Granted all the notes are in different places, but The Rain Song, Comin to California, Mama Told Me, all sound *right* now....

Oh wow I think I just realized why they picked the name Billy Jean for that song.
