EMU Drill Template

For this one I just drilled a single oversized round hole for each slide switch assembly. I need to check the size, but I used one of the larger stepped bits.

You want the hole to be large enough that the entire slide switch assembly (switch + mini breakout board) can fit inside the hole, but not so large that it extends past the edge of the faceplate.

Speaking as someone who has some genuine emu experience I can say that it's extremely difficult to drill one. As soon as you get close enough they either run away, steal your icecream (happened to my dad) or peck you.

Here’s one version. It appears to be a good choice if you don’t plan to use the faceplate. Otherwise you may not have much clearance. Maybe someone else can confirm how well it works with the faceplate.

Also, I recently made a drill template based on the template in the build docs, because I plan on using the faceplate. This is currently unverified.
