Hi all. I got this Fuzzy Fox built but all I'm getting is a loud static when engaged. I tried reflowing so joints, but so far it didn't help. I usually start by measuring voltages on the ICs but not sure how to go about debugging this one. I would welcome any guidance on how debug this.
Start a new thread in the troubleshooting section.... First thing you need to do is get some 99% isopropyl and clean your board... All that flux is pretty bad. Your soldering definitely needs some more dialing in and likely the culprit.. but also your transistor selection/ pinout could also be an issue.... Clean it up.. let us know what trannies and we can go from there

Thanks, I had already tried cleaning the flux with some iso and a toothbrush, but that seemed to spread it out more. I'll do a second round and see if I can clean it better. The transistors I got directly from @Robert: https://www.pedalpcb.com/product/2n3565/
Have you boxed it?
Loud static could just be noise that's being picked up.
I'm assuming by loud static, your mean a persistent noise, not a Burst, but the pedal works otherwise.

That’s what I was thinking at first. My Foxx Tone Machine (built from the old GGG board) will play one of the local Tejano stations pretty loud and clear if you plug it in on the wrong side of the house.
But, re-reading the OP, it sounds like they’re getting just static, rather than signal plus static.
