I am comparing to strip-board -- strip board > this boardHow can you call something crap if it is you who doesn't know the function of the tool / material?
Ehh, a screwdriver is worse at hammering than a hammer. Doesn't mean it's a shit tool. Although it's a shit hammer, admittedly.I am comparing to strip-board -- strip board > this board
I think the Tube Reamer and Tube Schemer need to do a joint project !
Yes, or you can use wire for longer runs. Solder it into a component adjacent hole and then bridge to the component.OK, so plated perf board is a thing, but it's pretty fugly to me. You just lay down the legs of the components to make the connections, right?
Hey!I know who we can get to build them....... Yep!![]()
I think you can also stick pot legs directly in the board I think? Or at least more easily than with stripboard. Of course it's personal preference whether that's better than off-board wiring, but for me, off-board wiring is the worst part of the build process, so while I haven't used perf board to build anything (yet), that is something to consider.AKA protoboard. As in prototype.

One advantage is you don't have a bunch of conductive surface.
Everything is a hammer when you have to crawl back out from a hard spot to find one.Ehh, a screwdriver is worse at hammering than a hammer. Doesn't mean it's a shit tool. Although it's a shit hammer, admittedly.
I have the crappiest board ever, unless I just can't figure out how to use it. None of the holes are connected, and the solder pads on either side are not connected to anything. How is this meant to be used? I think this is in the running for crappiest board ever.
