Just submitted Tayda and Mouser orders. How long until…

I triple checked my build sheets, I think I’ve got it all covered. But I always miss something.

Dude, I totally understand and it's happened to me. Since I really started to get into this hobby I always buy extra of everything. If the build doc calls for 2 of something I'll buy a minimum of 5 unless they're resistors, then a minimum of 10. Eventually you will never run into that situation again.

This was my first order where I purposely over-bought. I’ve only built 8 pedals, so I haven’t gathered much stock other than resistors.

I ended up adding a bunch of rat and muff variant components to start fiddling on a breadboard. So that should give me a small pile of “common” things.

@peccary , I had this cart ready for so long, I waitlisted some other pcbs, they already arrived, and I added their parts to the same cart!

Rule of thumb is you'll find out when you start to build something. Then have to wait another 1-3 weeks to get that part. Or do what I do and shelve the project until I place another large order.
Problem-solving is part of the fun of building! I feel like I learn more from finding bandaids & workarounds than from builds that go smoothly. You'll definitely get better at identifying substitutes/equivalents and how to bodge it so it works now, but is still easy to update with the proper part down the line.

Naw. See some of my project list here. That stuff can wait till I have the correct part.

2022 to-do list

This.

I routinely overbuy at Tayda. I will typically only place an order when I have 4-5 projects lined up and even then I end up ordering 20 of everything to replenish my stock.
I'm I the only one that buys 100's, especially resistors, I bought a hundred 3906's the other day on a good deal, only to realize I already bought a hundred on a deal two weeks ago

I forgot the knobs but they are still processing my order. Do they let you add things if they still haven't shipped?

It probably depends a lot on how busy they are and what stage your order is at. I think they combined two for me without me asking and credited me the difference, but that was before the last Festival, which unfortunately seems to coincide with their delays.
