Hey guys just wanted to know with what can be a good sub for the 2sk208-Y Jfet? Im building the Low tide modulator what have you guys used?

EDIT: Just realized the board has a spot for the SMD version which makes this much easier to find!

I did build the 1590bb version shortly after it came out and as much as I like it, I do not need another, albeit, smaller version.

That version has stacked circuits right? I do like the way stacked circuits look in 125bs! I have the Byzantium here ready for me to build as well cant wait for that one!

The mini is stacked board yes. Meh, I can’t build another since I don’t have any BBDs left and am not interested in shelling out the $$ for more. The Byzantium is pretty cool. I need to go back and re-bias mine. I actually like the sound better when I didn’t have it “officially” biased. I do like a stacked board project.

2sk30y,208y is only smd.In Germany is easier for the standard JFET's then smd.Lucky for me Reichelt start to sell smd's.Every month i buy dozens of them,i think till my death im easy. But reichelt dont by adapter for smd.Only Musikding sell them.UK electronics(Germany) had 2sk30y/gr and 2sk117gr.I hope this can help you.Apologize for my English is DIY.

hmmm this has me thinking i might do the mini instead of the 1590XX... i love this pedal and have been circling it for a long time.

it's nice.
I have a bass through it and it's subtle.
But having something with more legato feel through it world - sticking a (toy) keyboard through it and it sounds amazing.
