Mantic Hulk

The dod meatbox is a favorite of mine and I'm curious about what mantic has "improved." I didn't do too deep a search but I didn't find much info on it.



I miss Juan. I think he plays the humpty dance through the meatbox at the end. He states at one point that the hulk isn't a clone but that word has no meaning to me anymore.

Mantic's Beef Bag is a straight up clone of the DOD Meatbox; IIRC the Density Hulk started out as a direct clone, then the Meatbox got reissued and Mantic fiddled under the hood to make the Hulk something different.

I've heard these are good at popping speakers. My buddy had a density hulk way back and he said there wasn't much point when you're already down tuned pretty far, but part of my brain still says I want one

I've always been curious about the Mantic Hulks. The Meat Box is my all time favorite and I'd like to know if its a straight clone or what they did. Small Bear still carries the original's Bass IC, and Stompboxparts has the W100k pots.

There's a vero on the tagboard forum for an octaver that uses the Meat Box's IC, M51134, but is NOT a clone of the meat box.
