I don’t think I’ve bought a footswitch with those for a long time. Mine all come with just the metal washers.

And further.... the lighting in this product photo looks like it's from a police lineup or a security camera at a gas station.

"Have you seen this ring???"

I had no idea the depth and intensity of hate for the plastic washer lol. I use 'em if the switch comes with it, not if it doesn't. Never gave it much thought, and here people are saying they wouldn't buy a pedal with one... Looks like I'll remove them before I sell any of mine on Reverb, just in case lol.

It's mostly us diy nerds that hate on them. I don't think the majority of folks buying diy pedals on reverb are going to have that a strong of an opinion. I could be wrong. I certainly didn't think about it much until I started building.

save the turtles and stop buying the cheap blue ones 😜

tbh though, the black alpha 3PDTs are noticeably sturdier, have sleeker-looking nuts, and they come with a spring washer! worth the extra $1.40 imo.

yes it's 50% more expensive, but when you consider whether bypassed or not, the signal will always be at the mercy of this switch, you probably don't want it to suck......
(i mean, if you're gonna get funny about the brand and model of your electrolytic filter caps......)
