Absolutely this 100% I built an OCD with toggles for the germanium diodes and mosfet and ran out of room to put them. I ended up putting them on the side of the enclosure and was very happy with that option. Maybe an option for you?

I try not to throw shade at anyone's hobby game, but I also prefer my art made by humans whenever possible.

I could imagine for Bricks who's grinding it out in art school right now the AI art revolution could feel a little more personal.

I dig the center graphic on the first image. The AI-graphic also looks very cool, but looking at the two of them it's funny how well it could represent the robot overlord looming over humanity.

I might not have said it, but I still would have thought it

Aside from the massive ethical issues with generative AI, it just generally has a distinct aesthetic that I’d generally regard as looking ugly. It’s instantly identifiable— even if you didn’t say that the second one was AI generated, I’d have suspected as much immediately because it simply looks AI-ish. That’s not to say there isn’t non-AI imagery that looks like that, but, to put it mildly, GenAI sucks at not looking like GenAI, and I think GenAI is way fugly even when you overlook every moral reason to be opposed.
