N.E.W. Bass OD

This is what the mastermind behind Dunwich Amps did to the Boss ODB-3 circuit, which means tweaking/changing stuff and adding options.
The result is an incredibly versatile bass dirt box.

A ton of options EQ wise, what you can do with the mids is spectacular I think ... and then a clean blend with a lowpass filter on it. I doubled up on that filter cap because stock, the filter is very, very subtle. There are separate gains for the clean path and the OD, labelled simply CLEAN/OD.

What the BYP switch actually bypasses is still beyond me, I stared at the schematic for a while and then gave up. It's also an "EQ thing" though.

Graphics "borrowed" from a (famous) guy that grew up in the same place as I did.

Now this is incredible! Your graphic design kicks so much ass! Love it dude!

Beautiful work (as always) ! 😍

Is that H.R. Giger? Reminds me of the cover of ELP's "Brain Salad Surgery". Looks awesome man!
The game was Darkseed, and Giger had some really groovy images for it. I actually bought the game because of this.

Thanks fig! And sorry @MichaelW for the shortlipped answer yesterday, I was just about to run off ...

Giger did quite a few LP covers for musicians, the Brain Salad Surgery might be the best known, but he also did stuff for Debbie Harry or not too well known Swiss/European bands, like Celtic Frost. Here's an overview from Rolling Stone.
I really dig his work and have some books.

What frequency does the LPF get down to if you double c17? Can I get it down to 200hz?

As I'm not confident enough about the maths behind this, I'm not going to name any frequencies ...

Use sockets and let your ears decide what cap value suits you best?

Edit: the advice of "double up that cap" is from the guy who designed the circuit.

I would happily pay you for an enclosure like that. I have the N.E.W. pedal already, in a yellow enclosure that looks awful next to the other pedals on my board. I went tp purchase a great looking enclosure from Acid Tain Pedalworks, but they discontinued making the enclosures. I just don't have the time or space to devote to doing my own artwork. A lot of people have great ideas and techniques, but I just want to find someone to take my money.

Do you know my prices?

No, but seriously, I would give you that graphic or even send you a printed example to put on an enclosure, but alas, part of my pedal design files got somehow damaged and this one is part of it. 😥
Sorry.
