Synth Cube/Small Bear has some good stuff on their parts for a penny deal: 2N3904s and 5088s

Pictures show Motorola and Fairchild respectively. Could actually turn out to be Central or something else, but either way, terrific deal

Well, well, well I'm pleasantly surprised! Mine seem legit! Motos have the color bands on the back and don't come off with isopropyl. Fairchild appear genuine as well, although the first one registered a beta of 34.

My previous wire cutters were Hakko CHP-170s for $8 from Amazon. They lasted for about 150 pedals but the blades started getting dented. These new cutters are much smaller, more precise, and the metal feels heftier. They cut right through stranded wire like butter that my old ones would leave loose wires on (although maybe that's just their age). Anyway I'm very happy with them. They just feel nicer.

They're definitely worth $8
$63 or whatever retail, nah.
They cut as well or better than my Engineer cutters at a third of the price. Better than the red hakkos. They are small. Not going to cut 3 leads at a time. Also, they're very stabby. A rounded the tip down to prevent from scratching through a trace.
Would work good for toenails too.

My brother found a Vox AC30 on FB marketplace. The owner gave up trying to fix. $100. I went and picked it up for him. He wants the cab and speakers, and he’s giving me the amp pcb, chassis and iron. It’s already pulled out of the cabinet, in that box. Score!

I should specify. It’s the AC30VR. I assumed it would be something like that at that price. So basically it’s like a giant dirt pedal with a power amp. Still a good deal, but not like if it was a straight up AC30.

I bought some OC72 transistors from this seller. The transistors are measuring similar to the Hfe that he calculated, and he allowed me to request transistors between 70-100 Hfe. I bought a lot of 10 transistors at $6.8 per transistor (shipping included, etc), but I think he is now only selling single transistors. Regardless, I think this seller can be on a verified list for the forum.

Just took a look at that seller's stuff. Holy kitty cow! 23 zorkmids for OC44s now (from that seller). I'm guessing that I'm sitting on a small gold mine with the 60+ of them I have in my stash.

Yeah. That seller is very proud of their wares!
