Resistors

I think I'm going to order a 1/4w metal film, variety kit online for my resistors. Anyone else use these bulk resistors in their builds?

I know I'll have leftover values but they're pretty cheap.

Is this how most people here buy their resistors?



Now capacitors are a little different so I'll probably have to buy them in the small quantities of the correct value and type.

When I first started building I went to the Tayda easy resistor ordering page and ordered almost everything. Now I’m a bit more selective but I don’t see the harm in buying that at all, besides having barely any use for most of the random single ohm values below 1K.

When I started whenever a new value came up I'd order 100-200 at a penny a piece, and if I had a small order I'd throw in a few values I didn't have
