My wife loves the Foo Fighters so I've been to see them a few times. I don't mind them but I don't put their records on if it's my choice. (Yes I know that must sound very old fashioned. Hey, we have CDs now!) Dave Grohl comes across so well that I think it's perhaps a little harsh to compare the Foos to Nickelback, even thought I can see where you're coming from!
I was never a huge Nirvana fan, or of any of those Seattle guys.I can listen to it but would rather listen to BRMC or Pixies or whatever.
I liked the Studio 666 promo but I'm definitely starting to get the feeling that the Foos are looking for something new to do because they're bored. Especially after that Bee Gees stuff. Maybe they should just take a longer break and try rock climbing or cycling to use up all that excess energy. I doubt Dave needs the $$ and he risks soiling his legacy if he's not careful. Sometimes I feel that Dave Grohl and Travis Pastrana could swap places and I wouldn't notice.
