If you've got some vero board around you can put together a Colorsound Fuzz or one of it's variants like the DAM Meathead easily. I can't remember if there is a pedalpcb board for these or not. Here's the Tagboard Effects layouts for a few versions:

I really like the Colorsound version, the 1966, and the Hammond Toneworks Doom Fuzz variant with a B109C in place of the recommended BC549. I actually built a 1966 circuit into a 1960's department store guitar!

I'm a huge fan of the Bazz Fuss for a simple fuzz. I like to use an MPSA13 and tweak the components, but stays true to the 1-knob simple vibe.

Hammond toneworks on reverb has a pcb for these variations as well. I picked some up, haven't had opportunity to build it yet. Looks good though

I got into building using his PCBs! They're really good. Highly recommend the Grey One, the One Knob Fuzz, and the Matcha.
